Outcomes-How do I know if our program is successful?

Program evaluation is a useful tool for assessing your program's effectiveness. It can also provide valuable feedback to improve your program.

The Outcome Indicators Project, a collaboration between the Urban Institute and the Center for What Works, provides a framework for tracking nonprofit performance. We find this especially useful because the project applies their framework to 14 different program areas ranging from assisted living programs to prisoner re-entry.

Whatworks has developed two online tools to bring the above research to your organization.

The University of Kansas Community Tool Box also provides a comprehensive guide to evaluation.
