Volunteers are a vital part of the nonprofit community. With limited staff and financial resources, nonprofits often turn to volunteers to run and/or manage programs.   • Energize, Inc is a website especially designed for volunteer managers. It has an extensive resource library with online publications covering such topics as volunteer retention and recognition to volunteer/staff relations.
  • The Johnson Center at Grand Valley State University provides a list of articles, reports and training materials on volunteer management. The articles and reports offer general volunteer management tips, but the list also contains articles on how to deal with problem volunteers, legal issues, and managing virtual volunteers.
