Start by copying a list of records from the Search Tool into Excel. (This may be the only tool available to generate a list of EINs by, say, distance from a location.)
This sample spreadsheet has 3 columns in red added to create the EIN list. It looks like the newer version of Excel handles the copying a bit differently than the old with the blank spaces on either side of the EINs. Thus, the first column strips those out. The 2nd adds a leading "0" -- probably not necessary with new versions of Excel -- for EINs that began with zero but lost it in the copying. The final column adds the quotes and commas.
