Purpose

THE NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION RAISES PRIVATE FUNDS THAT DIRECTLY AID, SUPPORT, AND ENRICH AMERICA'S 417 NATIONAL PARK UNITS AND RELATED PROGRAMS, SO THAT THEY MAY BE EXPERIENCED BY CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS. CHARTERED BY CONGRESS AS THE NONPROFIT PARTNER OF THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, THE NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION PLAYS A CRITICAL ROLE IN CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION EFFORTS, HELPING MAKE NATIONAL PARKS POWERFUL LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS, AND GIVING ALL AUDIENCES AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE, ENJOY, AND SUPPORT THESE TREASURED PLACES.
