The Nonprofit FAQ

An Online Tool to Support Strategic Planning
Strategic planning and evaluation have been challenging areas in the nonprofit sector. Now there's an online tool that can help you do these and more. The InnoNet Toolbox -- http://www.innonet.org -- walks you through a step-by-step procedure, online, to help you develop detailed program, evaluation, and fundraising plans. While the service is free, you must register and get a password to use the online tools. Part of the reason for this is that your work is maintained -- confidentially -- on the site for 60 days, allowing you to work on it over time in case you can't run through each of the exercises in one sitting. The service does take some time, and you should be prepared to write about your organization's mission and goals, then go into each of those goals to identify specific activities, outputs and outcomes you will seek. This innovative site is really pushing the envelope in terms of the web as a tool.

We're eager to hear what you think of it.
