The Nonprofit FAQ
Is there grantwriting software for sale or on the 'net? |
Someone asked: Are there any software packages or ftp sites that contain info or formats for grantwriting? Sylvia McGee replied: I do not know of such a package - others may... [There's a site at http://www.proposalworks.com that seems to consist of nothing but ads for various sorts of proposal-writing softward. It might be worth a look.... &mdash Ed.] The best - bar none - source of information on format, inclusion and requirements for grants is the *individual grantmaker*. For public (read government) sources of funds - the response content and format are virtually *always* outlined...and the response package will generally include a description of the criteria that will be used in assessing the submissions. Private (read foundation and/or corporate) sources may not provide this detail (though some do) - but will generally include the areas that need to be addressed in the information that they send to inquirers.
