The Nonprofit FAQ
Local Organizations State-by-State: N through Z |
In many states, an association of nonprofits provides management assistance, group buying, insurance, advocacy on behalf of the sector and other services of value to member organizations. Many of these associations are members of the National Council of Nonprofits; members of the National Council can be found at http://www.councilofnonprofits.org/salocator. To find information for a specific state, scroll down in this file. If the state is not listed, that means we have not heard of any general-purpose nonprofit support organization there. Any information that can add to or correct this list will be very welcome; please click on the Feedback button at the bottom of this page to send us any suggestions or corrections. Action without Borders offers listings of organizations searchable by country (and state) with links to their websites and other information. See http://www.idealist.org/. Idealist also maintains a list of "support organizations" for nonprofits in the US and around the world, see http://www.nonprofits.org/tools/support-orgs.html.
